Hi, I'm Denean 

Meet Denean Banister MEd, LPC, LPC/S in the state of South Carolina!  The founder, owner, therapist and supervising therapist of Heart to Heart Therapeutic Services, Inc. Denean has been in the mental health field for over 30 years spreading around her big heart.

She strongly believes that everyone in any situation deserves to be heard, to be safe and to have happiness in their lives no matter what age they are.  She specializes in trauma informed care, reunification therapy, forensic informed treatment, high conflict custody cases and family systems treatment.  She believes all relationships should be healthy, happy, and safe.

Family Systems Treatment is her preferred treatment modality.  Where the entire family is involved to help support and solve the core problems.

​

When working with children in divorce situations, she engages children in efforts to help divorcing parents spend less time in court and more time creating a healthy relationship with their children.  She uses a psychoeducational approach to help children and their parents learn critical thinking skills, and problem-solving tools.  She also helps parents who have been alienated from their children with reunification therapy.

Ms. Denean enjoys walking her dogs and discovering new places to travel.
